Verification Mode
EV424 does not judge truth/falsehood.
It verifies integrity only: reproducible match or mismatch.
What “Deterministic Verification” means
Definition
Same input → Same output
If the official source bytes and the input parameters are identical, the output receipt and SHA-256 fingerprints must reproduce identically.
Scope
Integrity only
EV424 reports match/mismatch. It does not interpret content, intent, or meaning.
Evidence boundary
Re-verifiable artifacts only
Outputs are closed by verification gates (e.g., SHA-256) and can be checked independently.
User experience
Exact-match lookup
Public search accepts only two keys: Evidence ID and PASS hash (64-hex SHA-256).
Operational guarantees
- Identical input produces identical verification results.
- Any mismatch is treated as a failure (change detected).
- No summarization, no rewriting, no “AI interpretation” in the verification result.
- Only receipts and re-verification methods are published (no PDF mirroring).
Why this matters
- Reduces ambiguity: verification is mechanical and reproducible.
- Supports audits: anyone can independently re-check with the same rules.
- Prevents “looks fine” traps: only validated outputs are accepted.
